Simple Ideas for Enjoying the Smaller Things in Life
I can’t believe that we are more than halfway through the year! It is officially Summer! Here in San Diego, the sun is out, the days are longer, and the beauty of nature is ever present. Whether you go to the beach, the park or for a walk around the neighborhood, our summer weather provides the perfect opportunity to recharge.
For the most part, my days are spent negotiating with banks, agents, buyers, sellers, working with escrow, title agents and everyone else in between. The real estate market can be challenging at times because there are so many different types of transactions and often times, things change – But I love real estate!
I also love spending time enjoying the smaller things in life. For me, breaking away from every day life is very important.
As a treat, Shelby and I recently visited Santa Barbara. It is literally one of the most beautiful cities that I’ve seen. It’s surrounded by mountains and the beaches are absolutely gorgeous.
The community is so cozy that we walked everywhere. We were lucky enough to stay in a hotel that was a 5 minute walk to the beach. The restaurant selection was fabulous! We enjoyed a different type of cuisine every night of the week. Honestly, the most difficult choice that we had to make every single day was whether to go to the beach or the pool. It was amazing!
If you happen to be up in Northern California, visit Santa Barbara. Shelby and I loved Montecito. The beaches were empty and the weather was perfect. We even went to the zoo!
I really just want to encourage you to take a break and recharge. You don’t have to leave for a week. You can simply break up your day a little bit and go on a walk around the block. Enjoy the fresh air and notice the sights, sounds, and smells around you. Or, have lunch with a friend that you haven’t seen in awhile, go to a day spa or just take a few deep breaths and relax.
